February Reads

February flew by and I definitely felt like I didn’t have a lot of reading time this month. Figures, since I started my new job and computer training/training took up a good part of the month. Although I didn’t read a lot of books this month, the ones I did read were mainly 4 and 5 star reads!

I haven’t made my TBR list for March, but there sure are a lot of good books releasing in the next few months!

January Reads

I feel like January just stretched on and never ended. But I think I say the same thing every year 😅 This month started off slowly, but I picked up some speed towards the end.

I didn’t have as many stand out reads, but did read quite a bit of 4⭐️ reads. Once again, audiobooks have really been a way for me to get reading in.

December Reads

December is always a busy month and reading usually takes a back seat. I didn’t read as much as I did in November, but still managed to read quite a few books! I also re-read a favorite of 2020 You Deserve Each Other by Sarah Hogle.

For 2021 I set my reading goal a little higher than last year at 100, but lower than what I actually read in 2020 which was 120 books. I hope that 2021 will be kinder to all of us and that we get to read some wonderful books!

November Reads

November was a good reading month! It helps that I discovered Hoopla recently and listened to a lot of audiobooks on my daily walks. After the last few reading slumps, I’m glad that I was able to get lost in books (not counting election week – because that was an anxiety induced week where I feel like I was a zombie). Here’s to hoping that December will be another great reading month and that 2021 will be better than 2020!

October Reads

I realize that I didn’t even update the blog for the books I read in September (whoops!). Probably because I hardly read in September. It was a really hard reading month for me and I know that a lot of us are feeling the same way!

October was really great though and I tried to read a lot of ARC’s for #ARCtober – a bookstagram challenge. I still haven’t gotten to two of my ARC’s, but they’re holiday romances and I figure I’ll get to them in November!

I ended up listening to quite a bit of audiobooks this month and I think that’s really helped me get me out of my slump. I listened to the first four books in the Billionaire’s of Manhattan series by Annika Martin and I would highly recommend the audiobooks!

August Reads

I read 9 books in August and that’s probably the most I’ve read the past few months! I read a few books that were amazing and had sequels that hooked me in as well. I am hopeful that September will be a good reading month.

I read some fantasy this month and I ended up loving it. It got me out of my book slump – probably because it was a change in pace from contemporary romance (what I normally read). I’m still in love with the A Court of Thorns and Roses series and am currently reading A Court of Wings and Ruin.

July Reads

I ended up reading 7 books in July, which is an usually low number for me. I just had a hard time focusing on reading and I felt like my brain was all over the place! I’m hoping that August will get me back in my groove and out of this weird book slump I’m in.

June Reads

June was not a good reading month for me. Every time I would open a new book, I would quickly lose interest. I think there is just so much going on in the world right now, that I find it hard to focus. I’m sure a lot of us feel the same way so I’m trying not to beat myself up over that. I’m hoping that July will be a better reading month!
